Meet the Team

Barry Kennett
Managing Director
I joined Restormel in the year 2000 and have worked in almost all of the roles at Restormel through that time before becoming MD.
As MD today I’m responsible for overseeing the daily operation of the business but with a particular focus on financial management and sales.
So What Do You Like About Working at Restormel?
I love the ‘Yes We Can’ attitude here at Restormel. We have a unique ability to react quickly to changing customer requirements and create tailored solutions for them.
We say yes where others would say No and see ourselves as the ‘Go-To’ company for challenging projects.

Alex Dark
Operations Manager
I am chiefly responsible for the setting and programming of our latest high-tech acquisition; the Citizen L32 Multi-axis sliding head lathe. In addition to this I also manage the Machine Shop, staff and ensure the most efficient output is maintained. The tooling and other consumables are also procured by myself.
So What Do You Like About Working at Restormel?
I think Restormel is unique in that we have a really close-knit group of skilled engineers who take great pride in the work they do. Without exception everyone strives to deliver the best possible products and services to our customers.

Sam Kennett
Production Manager
I first started working in the business part time in 2017 before joining the company in a full time role in 2018.
I initially had a job role that encompassed various areas of the business, but at the start of 2020 my role became more focussed coordinating production management ensuring work progresses through the business in the most efficient way. I now manage this key area of the business as well as part of the Administration within.

We’ve got a really good team and the close relationships within it, creates a great working atmosphere. We’ve also got a really high level of skill and knowledge within the business and we set the bar high.

Isaac Underwood
Quality Assurance & Health and Safety Manager
Quality control is a critical part of the work we do for clients at Restormel and I am responsible for implementing our management systems including ISO9001:2015 and 45001:2018.
This ensures that our components are produced within a controlled and safe environment to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction.
So What Do You Like About Working at Restormel?
Restormel offers a working environment that strives to continually improve, with full support of top management. There is a friendly atmosphere amongst all staff which provides a great environment to work within.

David Winter
Production Engineer
I started working part time at Restormel late 2013 and quickly realised I was meant to work in the engineering industry. In September of 2014, with the support from the team at Restormel, I started a level 3 mechanical engineering apprenticeship, and whilst completing this I was awarded with Apprentice of the Year by Truro College in Mid 2015.
During this apprenticeship I had a lot of experience in all aspects of the manufacturing side of the business. I learnt a lot about engineering and how this business operates. After completing the apprenticeship I became responsible for programming and setting our two larger multi axis Goodway GS2600y mill turn machines and our smaller 2 axis lathes.
So What Do You Like About Working at Restormel?
The team at Restormel are always happy to help and support each other. If we are faced with a challenge we will tackle it with a positive mindset and will work through the problem. I really admire the dedication and passion of the team at Restormel and I am proud to be a part of that team.

Michele Webster
Administrator
My role is focused on the administrative side of the business – working on key areas such as office administration, bookkeeping and payroll. I am also involved in processing customer orders and sourcing core materials.
So What Do You Like About Working at Restormel?
I think the relationships that the staff and company have is great. We are encouraged and supported to improve wherever possible.
